BEA Membership
All current full-time VCU teaching and administrative faculty, postdoctoral trainees, retired faculty, and staff who are committed to supporting and promoting the objectives of the BEA qualify for membership.
Members of the BEA are dedicated to improving the quality of higher education, increasing community engagement, encouraging advocacy, and enhancing professional development of African-American faculty, staff, and administrators.
Benefits of Membership
BEA members attend meetings of the membership and actively support the organization’s purposes and programs. Additionally, membership earns the privilege of voting on BEA policies and procedures, and serving on standing and ad hoc committees.
